Wat's Your Poison?

I'm not a wine drinkah. Champagne doesn't do it for me.
I drink beer (beea).
At bbq's, special dinnahs, "team meetings" and especially at pah-tay's gotta have beea. I guess it helps loosen me up but there's a bad side effect dat I cannot control from drinking beea... my ears start to get plugged........
So I tend to talk LOUDER. 
Beea's a funny thing. You can practically tell who/wat type of drinkah you are just by da beea.
- Keystone or Natural Light - I'm a broke a$$ college student and dat's all I could afford.
- - Bud Light - I'm a broke a$$ college student but I got standards... and da commericals are cool. Dis is da beea of choice for most youngin's... cause of da commercials.
- - Coors Light - I'm a broke a$$ college student dat wants a watered down version of Bud Light.
- - Miller Light - I got a job and can afford something a little bettah... plus it tastes great! And it's less filling!
- - Heineken (Heine) - I got a job and I like something more hardcore.
- - Heineken Light - I got a job and I like try ack like I hardcore.
- - Budweiser - No mess wit me... I AM HARDCORE!
- - And fo' those oddah beea's with more than three words to describe their beea's - I get one real job and can afford to buy watevah I like. I'm mo' about da taste and less about getting buss' up.
Sadly, I've gone through all those phases above. Bought da cheap beea, bought da "light" beea and now I'll try some of those fancy beea's sometimes wen I get a chance.
But really no mattah to me - I drink anything...... I get one job. 
Wat do you like to wind down with? Social drinkah or a couple every night at dinnah? Wat's your poison?

I'm a beea drinker too.
Depends on my mood on what I like drink.
Most times it depends what's on tap. I rather have stuff on tap than bottles if given the choice.
But right now, my choices are: Newcastle Brown ale, Pyramid Hefeweisen, or a black and tan.
I no drink for get all bus' -- I drink to loosen up and relax. No need race and challenge who can drink more/faster. High school and college kids do dat. We drink cause it's good fun to laugh and have a good time.
Like at the pah-tay!

I had good fun going tru all doz stages, even da BananaFysh stage, too! Now I stay in da red wine stage. But sometimes I like have good fun again and drink beea once in a while.

Bud Light Lime,
Corona and Heinie (when in Hawaii, don't want to disappoint NKHEA). I'm also partial to Amber Light but hate any lagers...some tastes like shoyu

My favorite beer right now is "Fat Tire", but every now and then I'll get a "Stella Artois". If they get 'um on tap all the better!

I have my friend from college days who still keeps me company..........Mr. Coors. Back den, couldn't get Mr. Coors over here so dats why we became friends. l-)
Old habits, are hard to break.
Actually, my friends and I would try all kinds of beer during college.....Moosehead, Orangeboom, Lowenbrau Zurich was really good....do they still make that?

Sometimes, I really wish that I could drink alcoholic beverages but I get sick instead of high so what's the point. All through my younger days, I tried to "learn" how to drink but the result was always the same...............puking my guts out. So, whenever you do drink, have one for me !
Maybe, its actually a blessing in disguise. I would probably have at least 5 DUIs by now.

depends how I feeling. if I'm trying to keep up with my cousins, I drink what they drink: bud light. if i'm cruising with my pops (he's been in the last stage for years now), I'll drink steinlager. if i'm with the family in hilo I go for a mehana. if i'm up here in the bay area i'll go to trader joes and pick up a six pack of whatever looks interesting...they get a good selection of imports and micros for pretty good prices. even kona longboard. If I fire up the grill to cook some steaks, I'll crack an echigo.

no worries roach, i dont drink either so you are not the only one. the last alcoholic beverage i had was in the 90s, and never did again although i keep tellin myself "i going have a few on new yrs or when i go vegas" but never did..

like wine with dinner meal, except can't find a good pairing with kim chi, maybe a slightly sweet riesling, but beer works best. I might have one drink, usually wine, a day and lately it's been only cheap wine from Longs...so sad.

EH, good fun dis topic. I normally drink beea. Heine Lite if get, otherwise Bud Lite or Coors Lite (cause das wat my wife buy at home) Cheap das why. And no come from my allowance

Bass Ale whatevas. Depends what on sale. Use to drink Steinies, but da buggah not 12 oz. Only 11.5 oz. Eh make difference.
If I go restaurant, I ask what's on tap and I order those. I no drink for get buss up. I drink cause good fun drink with my buddies. I like drink with you cause after awhile I deaf too

Good Morning!
I actually quit drinking at about 30yrs old. Discovered good bourbon last year and we have GOOD FUN passing da bottle around. I'm not a "drinker" so I take baby sips. But I guess I take enough sips to get happy... not drunk. Don't / Won't do drunk. Had it up to here with drunk (not me).
@NKHEA & others: (as I wear body armor for protection) I am so NOT a beer drinker. The only way I can describe it is that it tastes stink. LOL

In my old age I drink beers that are cheap or low calorie. I drink Miller 64 if I can find it otherwise it's Miller Lite or Natural light. Natural Light doesn't taste bad and is only $13 a case (24 cans).

My rule of drinking is I stop one hour before I figure we gonna leave. Just drink diet coke or water. By the time I'm driving home I'm good to go.

Bud Light is da daily standard. When I have time to enjoy then it's Guiness, Newcastle, or Heineken but these are best on tap. I love my Chimay, but you cannot drink too many of those before going horizontal.

Wassup BL!! I only drink once a week...... maybe. I trying fo cut back since I became a daddy. When I do drink, I get whatever is available. Sometimes when I drink wit day boys, we try grab something new. Usually one microbrew. That stuff can get pretty pricey(good thing I filthy rich... NOT). And it's hit or miss if the one we pick is ono or not. Some is smooth and some taste like kava.

I thought this was a joke but it's fo' real. Hardcore union members will not drink Coors cuz it's a non-Union beer. I thought my ex-husb was joking until I talked to electricians and other Union folks that say same thing.

I drink bea, but it's best with good company. Sometimes the "good company" says "last one for day road" and sometimes das not da last one.WWD! Anyway, don't drink and drive, moa safe drink at home!

Back in bowling dayz, we used to "host" da parking lot Budweiser bar. As the gang got thinned out, I took my last two "sons" and hosted it at my house. Took their keys and made them sleep in da living room. Made bkfst the next morning and sent them home. That way they could get as drunk as they wanted and I don't worry about them driving.
Was cute cuz one of the guys' mom called me to thank me. Hey, I ain't having no accident hanging over MY head!

I don't drink beer much. Every once in a while I will drink a Corona. My drink of choice is a strawberry margarita. If I am in Hawaii it is a lava flow. Usually I only drink Coke. My husband drinks Guinness, Fat Tire, Firestone or Stella Artois but his favorite poison is scotch. He does not drink that much because it is too expensive and he has to buy his own alcohol. With scotch he has some good fun.

when i was going to school on the mainland my favorite beer was henry weinhard's summer wheat which they only produced during the summer. can't seem to find it here in hawaii.

I didn't know Budweiser was so hardcore... I started drinking Bud a few years ago, I think it tastes pretty good. And I didn't know Coors light was more watered down than Bud Light. I always thought it was the other way around. But I guess I'm like NKHEA, I like all kinds of refreshing beverages, (except scotch, for some reason I can't drink scotch unless it's really good stuff like Johnny Walker Blue, etc. So naturally I don't drink scotch very often.) But bourbon is good, vodka, gin, they all have their good qualities, as long as it's not rotgut. You really can tell the difference with a premium brand.
Sally: Of the hard liquors, I like bourbon the best. Try Booker's Noe. Booker Noe is Jim Beam's grandson and he brews this stuff that is just heavenly.
Despite the above paragraph, I don't really drink that much anymore. Getting too old and tired of paying the price the next morning. My wild days are behind me (I think)

Tanqueray 10 martini, VERY slightly dirty with extra olives. Or a Grey Goose on the rocks. Or a gin and tonic. Not very picky am I? Except for how the martini is made, that is. If we're drinking beer, Heineken, or an IPA.

If Tamura's Waialae was publicly traded, it's stock would have gone through the roof with my many contributions over the last few years. I drink a couple of beers, usually Sierra Nevada, then some wine. Then I'm in la-la land. Good thing I'm moving to Chico, home of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

I'm a social drinker..have a couple on the weekends..when I was in college my choice was vodka, drank that all the time..those were the good fun days..nowadays I'm a beer drinker..when I'm at happy hour listenin to some music and eatin some pupus I'll have me some Coors but if I go out bar hopping or at parties then Heinekens...

@OL- I agree with the Lowenbrau Zurich comment. Before Miller(I think) bought the rights and ruined it.
The wife likes something more refreshing like Kirin Ichiban.
Back in the day had only Bud and Miller primarily. Started on Miller, then on to BUD. If I'm at a party and only get Bud or Bud Light, I'll pick the Bud.
I just read somewhere that some Chinese beer now tops Bud as the most popular beer in the world. I guess if you have a Billion people, you can be #1 in almost anything.

Thunderbird....straight from the bottle, tastes better if you keep it in the paper bag as you drink it.

Coors Light for me. Yeah I know, I've had other guys snicker at me for my "wimpy brew". But, I like it.
I've tried the Natural Ice beer recently. It's being pushed hard to get some market penetration and the price is really good. Has a much stronger kick to it, but the dang thing starts boiling in my stomach about 90 minutes later.

The only time beea taste good is with pizza or sitting at a poker machine in Vegas!! Samuel Adams or Coors Lite is my favorite.
Other than that I'm moving over to wine. Must be an age thing...

Hey Coconut...............when we bought Lowenbrau Zurich.....it was probably $10 a 6-pack. It had the silver/red label if my bad memory serves me. But it was SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD.
Does anyone still drink Lowenbrau? Mickey's was another one during that time...the "Big Mouth".

My favorite kine beer is da kine someone else buys. Seriously though I like Tequila neat (for sipping).
I do like a beer (not "lite") every once in a while when the mood strikes. Nothing like holding onto a long neck at a tailgate!

i don't drink... alcoholic beverages, that is. cannot handle! never could but used to be a real lightweight during college and after... then i figured out that i was probably wasting my money! after that, only drink soda and water... oh well, get me to drink enough cokes and people think i'm tipsy!

To me, that would best be described as "I'm a broke a$$ college student and I want to get blitzed" Not only that, but why does it seem like all the 40ouncers out there, are malt liquor?

Not too much of a wine drinker, mostly beer, Bud Light (although I'm well out of college), and if I'm in an area that has it...Yuengling! Mixed drinks every now and then. Also, can't forget the Parrot Bay and POG! No matta wat I drink, I always try fo' have good fun!

@BL IPA = India Pale Ale. It's light colored ale (usually the same color as a lager) that is very aggressively hopped for a very, crisp, hard hop taste to it. If you're not a fan of bitter beers, avoid this one.

Yuengling is the oldest brewery in the country (in PA). Only can get it on the east coast.
