So braved Black Friday?

Ok, da real question is.... who da heck was pupule enough to forget about Thanksgiving and rushed Black "Thursday?"

If you did either - good for you!

I don't mean that in any sarcastic sense, I sincerely mean, good for you... if you at da least spent some ohana time and ate together. If no ohana time...

Wassup Wit Dat!

And if you did/are at da stores today, mahalos for helping to spur up da economy and actually getting in some decent exercise. You can't forget about da awesome deals out there as well.

Wat kine deals you wen score? You hoped for? You *gulp* stood in line for? How was da crowds? Did you miss out? Was it a too bad/so sad Black Friday? I really wanna know wat people wen score, if you did. Are you a scrooge already?

I was telling Da Wife dat dis year it's going to be pupule cause it seems like everyone has kala (money). Although today should really be called Red Friday cause while da stores makes all da profits.... your credit card bill increases and we all back to negative in dis nevah ending cycle.

Wassup Wit Dat!

For for all those out there shopping up a storm, have a great - and hopefully fun - Red Friday! Stay safe and sane and remembah da good ole' 808 adage....... If can, can. If no can, no can.

Shoots!

    1st in a long time!

Nope, did not venture out last night or early this morning. Too cold and wet to stand in line to spend what little money I have for stuff I really do not need.

Spent my time trying to beat back the Tsai-ko sized food coma from dinner. Actually slept an hour longer than usual -- got up at 5 this morning!

For those who were brave enough to venture out, hope it was worth it!!!

Walmart Kapolei and Kunia was the best with some available deals and short waits at the checkout. Everything else was.. ahhh....I don't think so...after driving around the block and seeing the lines.

I neva go. No need anything more. My place is too small to add more stuff. I need to get rid of stuff before bringing in anymore. :)

I had to work today anyway.

From California, I stay home and let the others fight the crowd. O, went to Rite Aid drugstore to buy special battery for diabetes glucose tester and stopped by the super market to pick up LaBrea French bread. Drove my golf cart and battery almost con out. Having repairman come out and install new batteries. Cost just a little over $900 for 6 batteries installed. Takai = expensive.

BL and rayboyjr: You gotta understand Lee's pies and what makes people place orders a year in advance. It's an "ancient Chinese secret" ;-)

Well, I suppose you could say I stay pupule cuz i went out last nite Sears Windward Mall after a quiet evening dinner of mashed potatoes, butternut squash & Asian stir-fry w/braised tofu, courtesy of my neighbor. (yum!) Got there @ 7pm & had a good long laugh@ the folks standing in line.... ho! musta been 400 ppl for 20 tv's or something. WWD? :-P Anyways, downstairs no mo' line @ 730pm, so i stay first in line. Then everybody say 'hey auntie they gonna open that door?' i say, 'yeah they are' so i started another 50 ppl line. I told 'em no rush wen they open the door cuz i stay slow. :-D

ANyways, got my earrings, then went upstairs, laughed at all the ppl stay in line again, buying the TVs they stood outside for 12 hours for, spocked out the craftsman drills & said no tnx, i'll wait for home depot for the Ryobi (get 2 Lithium-Ion batteries instead of 1, so mo' bettah). I went to costco/home depot @ 1 pm & cruised & spent too much $$$ . Then Macy's in Kailua & cruised. Then had dinner @ Down to Earth & checked the mail. Now I stay ready for 'black Friday nite' cuz i'ma sleep in on Saturday!

Black Friday Pupule-ness is not for me. I do my shopping online, with only money that I have set aside during the year for Christmas. Cheap is not cheap if you're paying interest on it for the next 12mos.

As M mentioned, most stores had the same items online with FREE shipping so I didn't even leave home.

My big score was from Apple Store. Got an Air Port for $67 after Black Fri discount plus a Gift Card that was sitting in my wallet since last year.

    Yah BayBEEEE!

I come from a long line of tightwads. My mom, who was a PA Dutch woman, used to say that her family (da Zeiglers) would squeeze a nickle until the buffalo bellowed!
So, aside from da fact dat I no mo kala to spend, da stores no have anyting dat I feel I can't live without!
New plasma TV wit a screen so big you have to view it from 100 yards away? yawn!
    Da latest tablet whatevehs? Puh-leeze!
Da newest Iphone, Blue(/Orange/Violet, etc.)tooth? ..ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

    Guud morning BL!
    Happy Cyber Monday!
