While there were many who braved Thankless Thursday (da newest shopping day) and Black Friday, I braved da internet last week instead cause had choke online "doorbusters" as well. I bought a drill set about a month ago and low and behold, I was surprised to see it as a "doorbuster" online.... for FIFTY BUCKS LESS! Plus there was an upgraded extended battery dat was half off as well!
I decided to buy it and return my original set and battery (unopened) since I was about to save about $100 and placed my order online. I got a confirmation and waited for da pickup email.
Late in da afternoon da next day I get da pickup email but there was something wrong. My drill set and battery got canceled.
I didn't cancel it so I called da store and hea's wea da fun begins.
BL: I placed an order online and got the pickup email but it shows that my drill set and battery was canceled - how come?
SEARS PEARLRIDGE: You have to call the 1-800 # cause we don't know about online orders.
BL: (since it's common wit internet orders) Ok.
BL: (calling 1-800#) I placed an online order and now the email I received shows items were canceled - why is that?
SEARS ONLINE: (looking at order) The store shows that none are available right now so your order was canceled.
BL: But I place the order last night and it's almost 24 hours later.... so my order wasn't pulled? It takes that long to pull an order? Why did I receive a confirmation that the items were in stock when I placed the order then?
SEARS ONLINE: It probably was, but it isn't now.
BL: Huh? So you're going to take an order and show it's in stock but then later rescind - without the customer knowing - and tell a consumer it's not in stock the next day? Why have online orders then? How can a consumer shop with confidence? When placing an order, your system shows which stores have it in stock - why would it show otherwise as when the items are purchased, it gets removed from stock?
SEARS ONLINE: I can't help you.
BL: HUH? You can't help me? Are you not customer service? Is there someone there that can?
SEARS ONLINE: I just work in an office here. I can put in a complaint but that's all I can do. You know this is the busiest time of the year right?
Are you frickin' kidding me?!? Did she just tell me that this is the busiest time of year???

And da way she said it made me shmall kine nuts so I just said to put in da damn complaint and hung up.
I went down to da store to pick up da items dat were "in stock" and wat do I see as soon as I walk into da store? 3 batteries and 5 drill sets - Out of stock my okole! I couldn't believe it and now was frickin' pissed but played it cool as I explained everything to da manager. Aftah some excuses, she apologized and just gave me a refund for da difference of da items instead of having me to buy and return them.
