Screw You!
By Braddah Lance
Well sometimes its nails.
No mattah if it's brand new or got choke mileage on 'em, watevah my ride is I always get a screw or a nail jammed up in one of da tires. It's classic WWD! in full effect as I don't evah remembah - and I've been riding or driving for ovah a quarter century - wea every set of tires I've had ALWAYS got a puncture sooner or latah....
Wassup Wit Dat!
It's gotten so common dat I actually carry a flat/puncture repair kit in both da truck and motorcycle for as long as I can remembah cause I was tired of pulling out da spare and finding out dat dat was flat as well. If you've evah changed a tire, you know wat I mean. Plus I nevah like da feeling of being helpless wen it's something I can do.
Before da FSP (Freeway Service Patrol) came around, I was kinda like da quickie AAA repair guy sometimes. Wen I see a vehicle pulled ovah on da road and see dat it's just a flat, if I can, I pull ovah and help out cause I know wat it feels like to have a flat, obviously.
If your tires are fairly new, replacing just one is ok but wen you've put some mileage on them, replacing just that one is not a recommended thing to do cause you'd have uneven wear and then you'd be replacing an odd numbah of tires wen da old ones start balding so you'd have to replace ALL of 'em even though nothing wrong wit da oddah three. But replacing da "injured" tire is not da only option.
Before I continue, I should put in a disclaimer dat every single tire manufacturer will stress dat wat I've been doing is NOT recommended although any tire installer would do it..........
Wassup Wit Dat! yeah?
It does make sense though as wen you "plug" a tire, da wire strands dat are woven around da tire are actually "broken" and could/will cause failure eventually but if your tires are fairly new and far from balding, plugging them is something you might consider. Trust me, from personal experience, I've plugged wat feels like a thousand tires but wit da caveat dat I replaced them as soon as I felt da tires had enough. Also, if da puncture is in da sidewall, it's an automatic replacement and you should avoid plugging direct sidewall damage. I've even plugged a single bike tire three different times which I promptly replaced once da replacement set came in.
Well actually, I've NEVAH had a set of bike tires go WITHOUT a puncture - so sad but it's da actual truth. Da only blessed thing is dat it's nevah happened to da front tires (knock on wood) which is automatic replacement if/should it evah happen.
And yes, I wouldn't have been writing dis if it nevah happened recently........
BEFORE......
DA CULPRIT.......
AFTAH......
It ain't pretty but she go.
Needless to say, $375 latah and Christmas fund gone, a replacement set is on it's way.
Boy, I really got screwed yeah?

... hey Braddah Lance ... me too!!! ... it seems I'm a magnet to nail or screws ... I've plugged tires on both of the cars I've had ... thankfullly it's been always on the tread ... and no problems on the repair ... *knock on wood* ... and I'd do it again ...
... one time the "hole" was too big for a single plug so my mechanic used two plugs ... it couldn't stop the leak and didn't look safe ... had to replace my tires ... *sigh*
... Good Luck Manti Teo and Notre Dame!!! ...

And Da Quote of Da Day.........
You hear about how many fourth quarter comebacks that a guy has and I think it means a guy screwed up in the first three quarters.
Peyton Manning
Tell me something I don't know.
Believe it or not, I actually had a six inch nail a couple of years ago!
.
.
.
Far from it. Excellent tread depth still and dat's why I'm pissed about having to get a new set prematurely.
.
.
.
Hence getting a new set.
Temporary fix till da new set comes in... trying to keep it undah 100mph.
Jus' kidding.
.
.
.
Me too.
ND has been my team since da movie Rudy came out but boy, we got man-handled. Gotta give props to 'Bama as they were more than ready for da show.
.
.
.
Ha ha ha! We got magnetic personalities.
.
.
.
No... but watch out for da bucket of nails I just dropped.
.
.
.
Tell me something I don't know.
Glad you enjoyed it.
.
.
.
It surah was!
.
.
.
Took da words right out of my mouth.
I hope for dat every year.
.
.
.
But you got four for $500, I got 2 for $375.
And hea I thought you was just sad dat da SupahFerry nevah make it to da docks.
.
.
.
I wouldn't be writing WWD! if dat evah happened.
Rogah, tires are perfectly fine...... except for da puka.
