Can You Figgah It Out?

April 26th, 2013

Short and sweet today on dis Feel Good Friday.

Can you figgah out, if anything, wat da heck is going on wit dis picture? And yes, it is a real picture of a real building in Waikiki and it made me say Wassup Wit Dat! as soon as I noticed it.

SHOUT OUT: My condolences to Uncle Rodney on the passing of his mother. I'm surah he'll agree she's lived a good life and now is in a bettah place.

While not everyone agrees in a time of passing, we should celebrate and not mourn, especially if dat person has impacted your life in a positive way.

God bless you and your ohana Uncle Rod!

BL: It looks like they ran out of money for the completion of the top floors but had already paid for the elevator...

    Good Morning Everyone!!!

... hey Braddah Lance ... condolences to Uncle Rodney ... yes, celebrate life ... it's a continually cycle ... and not necessarily an end ...

... that does seem kinda strange to have what looks like four additional floors on that building ... but maybe for separate control rooms for the elevator?, A/C units?, or pump rooms for water?, or water storage tanks ... maybe even the laundry rooms are up there ...

    ... Have a Good One Everyone!!! ...

  5. Dustin:

Second floor door opens to no floor! Watch your step bruddah!

  6. Bowling Buddy:

Looks weird but must be a reason. Know who designed it.

  7. kamaaina808:

Funny! The third floor has a door to the outside with no way down but 'jump'! :-O

Condolences & God bless you & your ohana, Uncle Rod. Lost my mom 3 years ago, but she's always in my mind.

    Howzit BL,

Eh das waz my project.....no tease eh

  9. Masako:

The elevator at the care home that my grandmother was at had a 3rd floor button but no third floor. I asked someone about it and they told me that the home was planning to add another floor in a couple of years so they had the button put in.

I lost my grandmother 3 weeks ago. She was 94 and she lived a great life. Toward the end it wasn't so great so in a way it was a blessing for her to go. Yet its still hard sometimes, I have happy moments and sad moments but I think in time it will all get better. Just gotta remember the good times and I know I will see her again one day.

Was it a UH project designed by upper campus and their circus of clowns?

Condolences to Braddah Lance and Masako, and someone will be saying the same to my wife and son pretty soon. Will be 88 come June 24. Stay at The Ilikai, lagoon side when visiting Honolulu, usually stay a month, so no kan tell wat building the buggah is. Strange elevator shaft with dooors but no floors. Mabee run out of kala.

  15. wafan:

  18. Uncle Rodney:

Mahaloz for the shout-out Braddah Lance. And sorry for the late reply.
Mom was my hero. She let me do any kine, but told me "you pay for your own consequences - or stupidness". And at times - I went pay... But I learned and that's all she wanted me to do. She worked hard but never grumbled. It was hard watching her Dementia get worse and worse.
But now she is free from that disease. And she is watching me, hoping that I still remembered the lessons that I learned - so I no make da kine stupid mistakes again. If I do - she'll send me a signal to let me know fo' wise up.

Thanks again for da shout-out, BL. You need anything brah, you let me know!
