In Da Mood

Well, I'm always in da mood............. for beer and ono kine grindz! Wassamattah you? Get your minds outta da gutter!

Now dat da season in upon us, I dunno about you but I've grown accustomed to ALWAYS listening to Christmas music 24/7. For da next month until December 26 hits, das all I listen to. Mahalos to KSSK for hooking it up with classic and modern Christmas tunes and to KINE105.1 for hitting da spot with local versions of da same. They da only two stations I know dat will play Christmas music 24/7 so if you need to get in da mood, set your dial, tuner, X-radio, Satellite, iHeart Radio or watevah you got to either of them to satisfy your craving.

Have you evah noticed dat for some reason, wen a familiar Christmas song plays, you can't help but to smirk, smile or laugh and no mattah wat grouchy mood you're in you start to hum or sing along? C'mon, no lie, I know dat you do. I tink Christmas songs are da only songs dat EVERYONE can sing along to - unless you trying to belt out a Willie K or Mariah Carey version - and have a great time doing it.

Isn't it weird dat there really aren't many Christmas songs - but many variations of them - and you can sing along with da radio or performance but if you like try sing 'em acapella you only know like a couple of lines.... and it's da one verse dat repeats?

Wassup Wit Dat!

Wat's your favorite Christmas song dat you know you'll sing along to everytime it's playing? Wat's da one song dat will put you in da feel good mood? Do you play Christmas CD's in your car? Portable device? Wat version(s) of wat song do you enjoy da mostest? How many of you change your ringtones on your cell??

In da spirit of things, let's play a game. Simple really...... or not but below are a few lines of lyrics - can you figgah them out? Share your own as well and have oddahs guess.

And yes, I not going bu'lai I had to look them up.......... cause da radio wasn't playing and I couldn't sing along.

1) While I tell of yuletide treasure
2) Until the other kids knock him down
3) There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well, The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.
4) Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
5) So be good for goodness sake!
6) Underneath his beard so snowy white; Oh, what a laugh it would have been
7) And friends are calling "Yoo Hoo", Come on, it's lovely weather
8 ) Just like the ones I used to know, Where the treetops glisten
9) You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear voices singing
10) Come and trim my Christmas tree With some decorations bought at Tiffany;

And da winnah winnah chicken katsu dinnah................

Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name
(dis one is hard so I put up a whole verse)

My favorite is Merry Christmas Darling and Hawaiian version of 12 Days of Christmas. The one song that brings a smile to my face is Grandma got run over by a reindeer or the one with santa stuck in the chimmney.
