Hey, It's A Monday

My apologies for not sharing my "frustration" da next day but da last few weeks, yes WEEKS, has been nothing short of straight up wop yo' jaw pupule.

Hmmmmm, a quick 411 that's transpired da last weeks and das not even da original reason for being frustrated:

* Babysitter taking vacation with holidays (which Da Wife and I don't have), using sick days for her ohana, Da Baby catching some kine of illness from da sitter's on days dat he's actually able to make it then having to stay home cause now he's sick..... again.
* Da Keiki having a classmate with full on hand/foot/mouth disease still being sent to school and of course, Da Keiki gets it.
* My live-in uncle having a freak accident at work........ and dies days later.
* My neighbor's father passes.
* My 90+ year old drinking partner neighbor "uncle" is literally dying.
* That same uncle has a daughter recently diagnosed with cancer.
* A friend of mines mother was also recently diagnosed with cancer.
* My mother has ailments from a previous cancer that has flared up.
* Da Baby having steady 104 degree temperatures for nearly two days and hours in the tub doesn't help. It even hit 107.4 once. Yeah, 107.4!!!
* Literally having only 1 - 2 hours of sleep since Tuesday spread out through da day.
* Rushing to get jobs done in between caring for da ohana

Tink das it dat I can groggily remembah.......... so how's your Monday?

Like the old saying, "when it rains, it pours", you've had more than your share. Prolonged high temperatures can have adverse affect on the brains, so please call emergency next time. Hope you get some rest for yourself, can't have you getting ill, your ohana needs you healthy.

You know wat I've been told da ER doc's tell you? If it's just a fever.... why da heck are you in da ER?! I have a co-workah dat was told dat wen he brought in his twins with a high temp. WWD! Probably an isolated event but still, their mantra is it has to be an EMERGENCY. Da Keiki's 107.4 was just in a spot and not an overall temp (using temporal thermometer) so we did wat we were told to do. Put him in a tub and cool him down which we did...... for hours and hours.

107 is an emergency . . . for you. Emergency is not defined by the ER doctor.

Things have to get better some time!

  16. snow:

condolences on the passing of your uncle... unexpected deaths can be so shocking to everyone. :( take care of yourself and your family... but, just remember, you can't take care of anyone if you don't take care of yourself first. ya know what i mean? sometimes just cannot... but, you need to know how important it is and really make the effort. but i know, easier said than done. sending healing thoughts your way and hope the brunt of the storm has passed!
