Sorry but da only futbol I know is spelled with two "O's", played with an oblong ball and you're allowed to use your hands....... teeth, not so much.

Just curious, anybody watching da World Cup?

Not watching but occasionally check out the highlights via the web. Guardian UK has a good handle (and some good stories, etc.) on what's happening & all. It's a pretty athletic game, unless you've got an overbite & a vampire complex. :-D

Yeah, star scorer for the Uruguay team mouthed with his teeth the opposing team player on the shoulder and got suspended for 4 months. He had previous done this dirty deed and probably gotten away with it.. This time he bit more than he could handle as he was holding onto his tooth/teeth as the reply showed. Guess the collar bone was tougher than he anticipated. Naw, just saw the news account. Soccer is catching on in the mainland as the newly coined term, "soccer mom" indicate. Ai no'kea about soccer, too makule to change.

BL: Watching, although not a huge fan. Exciting when consider making a gooooooaall is really a tough thing and requires so much skill and luck. First introduction was in Germany at a Bundesliega game where we stood thru the whole game in bitter cold and drinking beer. The World Cup has really got very good TV camera work...I think the American Football coverage has had an influence in camera work. The only "sport" I don't care to watch is pro wrestling.

The world game. It's a pity the US says MLB has the "world series", and the Seahawks are the "world champions" when neither of them have beaten the world. If the US win the World Cup, they will truly be world champions, it IS the world's game (unlike baseball or American football, or really anything else that the US wins EXCEPT for women's soccer, who have in fact won the World Cup). By the way, yes, I am watching.

Nope. I have no idea what it is, what's going on, nothing.

Oh wait, I saw that thing about the guy who bit the other guy. *chomp*

    But no, I not watching.
