Da Long Haul

Seven years ago on da seventh day of da seventh month in two-thousand and seven was da worst day of my life.

It was da day I signed my name on da dotted line - well it's actually a solid line - gave up everything I owned, had to start asking permission, placed under curfew and literally cried about it in front of hundreds of witnesses..... but I got to drink all da beer I could.

I got married.

Wassup Wit Dat!

Considering it was a very hectic wedding date being 07/07/07 - plus it fell on a Saturday - it was a great day to enter da last day of da rest of my life.

All kidding aside, I married a very strong woman. She's amazes still to today with her strength - or stubborness depending on how you look at it - and it really is astounding how/why we're still together ovah a decade (including wen we was dating) cause normally wen you got a "strong" woman with a hard-headed Korean, it normally doesn't work out. We can't figgah it out still to today.

Da thing about anniversaries? You always reminiscing and it brought me back to our FIRST anniversary, well, seven years ago so I dug around and found a blog dat I actually did, well, seven years ago and still got some of da SAME WWD! Hui posters!!! Really, WWD!

Congratulations to you both. My wife and I celebrated our 10th in January and I frankly at times doubted we would be here. My wife is a very complex person. She is strong in her beliefs but lacks self-confidence. She is caring but stubborn. She is unorganized but certain things have to done a certain way. She takes some things too seriously and wonders why few laugh at her jokes. Me, I'm easy-going. I like what I like and I typically eat the same foods that I like over and over but willing to try new things. I like to have fun and make people, including my wife, laugh. I tell my wife I love her in spite of herself. She is the only person in my life who has gotten me boiling mad but it pales compared to all the good times we have had together.

Congrats on your on your 7th Anniversary... which reminds me, ours is just a few more days... July 10th! Unfortunately, she's out of town so I will have to wait for her to get back to celebrate.

Congratulations on your 7th. Once you get to know what makes her tick it will be easy, just kidding of course, just bend over backwards and convince yourself it all your fault for getting an argument. Come December, for us will be 64 years officially cause the US Army's red-tape attempted to discourage GI's marrying abroad. More like a broad.

Congrats on the 7th year!!! Wasn't there an article about how popular your 7-7-07 date was for booking weddings? You guys must've booked it WAY in advance! And then, the next year, was the 8-8-08 date that was hard to get. We will celebrate our 9th anniversary a few weeks from now. But now with the keiki, more likely, we just goin' end up falling asleep on that night! Nowadays, sleep is all I really ask for! :)

    Hey Braddah Lance

    ... congratulations!!! ...

... I love both of your attitudes towards each other ... yup, destined to be together ...

... especially loved this from your wife - "... knowing that we'll spend the rest of eternity together ..."

... if you ever had a doubt that you found the right one ... your wife already knew ...

  8. titagirl:

Congratulations again. Brah you get plenty more years to go. My wife and I celebrated our 32 anniversary in March. She too is a strong woman (personality). Me? I gotta assert my husband role. Good thing she listens to me...(most of da times)

You still going get arguments but no go sleep until you make up cause only going fester and be harder to fix.

Here's to many more years of marriage :D
